Work placements

Complete your education with a work placement at a company or institution through an educational cooperation agreement.

It is increasingly necessary to be able to prove that you have experience to begin to practise professionally, in addition to having a good academic record. For this reason, you will be able to complete your education with a work placement at a company or institution through an educational cooperation agreement.

Work placements are training activities that allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their education. It aids the acquisition of competencies, prepares you for professional practice, increases your employability and fosters your capacity for innovation. This unique experience will provide you with first-hand knowledge of your professional future before you finish your degree.

At the EPSEB, you will have access to a specific application for work placements, the School's job bank, where you can upload your CV and register for companies' exclusive job offers for our students.

An advert on the EPSEB website led Alba Alarcón, a student on the bachelor’s degree in Geoinformation and Geomatics Engineering (previously Geomatics Engineering and Surveying), to gain work experience at Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona. "We work at street level and survey public areas such as streets, squares and parks, so that we can carry out improvement works in the future," says Alba, and she affirms that "work placements are the best way to enter the labour market and broaden your horizons - all students should do one."

Does anyone know that there are surveyors behind Google Maps?
